Big Flutes in the Windy City

Chris Potter Recital and Masterclass

Sunday, October 12, 2014  2 pm, Gottlieb Hall, Merit School of Music.
Admission: CFC members and Merit students free, non-members, $15.

The CFC kicked off its 25th anniversary season on Sunday, October 12 with renowned alto and bass flute specialist Christine Potter.  Please join us for a unique afternoon of big flutes and low sounds, and be sure to bring your instruments!

This very special event will include a recital and masterclass, as well as a rehearsal and performance of Dr. Potter’s “Three Blind Mice” for flute choir.

We are particularly excited to announce that Dr. Potter has invited YOU to participate in this rehearsal and performance!

Dr. Potter has graciously invited any and all flutists to participate in the rehearsal and performance of “Three Blind Mice” during this event!

“Three Blind Mice” is a very fun piece that Dr. Potter composed for two piccolos, four C flutes, alto, bass, and contrabass flute. It is an intermediate-level work that requires some flutter tonguing.
The CFC is also seeking masterclass performers.
